Y'know, I'm looking at it now; Lurantis has 105 Attack, average but not terrible, and 70/90/90 defenses, which isn't half bad.

It's got decent moves like Leaf Blade, Brick Break, and X-Scissor. . . Why does everyone say it isn't good? How does it suck?

I'm doing my best to run a contrary special lurantis. If you use Z-Sunny Day, it gets the +speed even though it's contrary, and then weather ball lets it hit the inevitable incoming steel wall really hard.

Besides leaf storm I'm also running giga drain, though hidden power would work too.

It's.. really average, but still kinda cool when it gets going.

I remember back in gen 6 in one of smogon's fanmetas, they gave Swanna Gale Wings. Became a legit threat since it wasn't donked as hard as TF by rocks, could get off Roosts, had a stronger Brave Bird, and could burn with Scald, also was a Defog abuser. This was the same fanmeta that gave Mantine Roost.

Too bad that will now never happen.

Oh wish I'd known that, bred a physical z-sunny one with leaf guard and it was beyond underwhelming. Mostly just trying to find a decent set to have fun at the battle tree.

Had the best success with HP/Def Bold AssVest so far. Timid offensive Choice Scarf and HP/sDef Calm support did alright too.
