Not much, actually. Solid new Pokémon overall. A few of the cross-gen evos are pretty terrible, but most of them are great.

The new evolutions are all very nice additions making a lot of previous lines 3 stages, but Sinnoh only had 6 3 stage lines of its own, 5 of which were the obvious required Starters, Regional Bird, and Pseudo, though Sinnoh did restart the trend of the regional bird being 3 stage.

Honestly I feel like Sinnoh was supposed to be the end of Pokemon. Introducing the God of their world seems like an end of the franchise decision and all the new evos seem like one last bit of fan service.

Gen 5's completely unrelated dex makes this decision stand out so much more.

This is criminal

Gen 4's problems weren't with the Pokemon design, it was with the region layout. Mt. Coronet was a boring central piece that played too much into certain pokemon (based Magnezone and who the fuck cares about Probopass). Why we got new Baby Evos is another weird choice.

The best thing about Gen 4's new Pokemon were they saved some of the cool earlier gen Pokemon by giving them great third stages, like Gliscor and Mamoswine and Magnezone. Some of the waifus make great Gijinka and the bugs are decent.

Regigigas' design is wasted on it because of how bad Slow Start is and the legendaries are >Lore Creep

The Regional Dex was pretty shit. The actual Sinnoh Pokemon that were introduced were fine, the problem was that they did not work well or fit in with the rest of the dex.
