My mega chomp runs Naive with an odd ev spread I can't remember right now.. but moveset is FIre Blast, Dragon Claw, Stone Edge, E-Quake. Hit's decently hard and it's shiny is pretty.

You don't. The leap in attack doesn't justify losing 10 speed and a better ability in rough skin.

It's viable as a mega, hard to use now that the mega stone buff makes it go second more often on the first turn and if it doesn't have sand behind it then it's just not better than regular chomp in any useful way. Lack of recovery makes buff to defense less useful, STAB blizzard can still kill it, on the other hand it can set up stealth rocks on physical users and surprise skarmory / celesteela with a viable fire blast due to the special damage boost, and a swords danced m-chomp is neigh unstoppable when the other team can't outspeed it. Thunder wave or tailwind support is greatly appreciated for m-chomp

thats actually what i did back when pokebank was first available, i open with sashed galvantula,set up with klefki, start a sandstorm then sweep with megachomp.
