I miss just using whatever and attaching some form of strategy to that team, ya know, before the IV/EV manipulation craze became as widespread/mainstream I guess. Putting Blast Burn on Charizard or Hydro Cannon on Blastoise because it looked cool as fuck animation-wise. I remember my shock when I figured out Kyogre could learn Thunder. I don't know if anyone here understands what I'm really trying to say.
