I am pretty sure the Bank update post on pokemon.com means Pokemon Bank is getting an update with a National Dex, not Alola, but it's not impossible that S/M gets a NatDex update in kind.

Seems unlikely, though. We're past 800 Pokemon at this point. It's been too tedious to catch em all for a whil and it's nice to have a break anymore.
