Working for something =/= buying past games so you can complete the current one. No one would legitimately be able to get the Shiny Charm until Poke Bank is compatible with S/M, and even then, very very few people would be able to complete the National Pokedex because you'd have to buy at least two of the previous games, complete them and catch everything in them, transfer them up through a paid service, and probably also do some breeding and leveling unless you had a Living Dex transferred. That does require work, yes, but it also requires paying for shit that not everyone has, and it'd be fucking ridiculous to hide something behind a paywall and hundreds of hours of work.

Also, fuck them for delaying PokéBank until January. I completed the game w/in three days and wanted to start breeding but then I can't access my Dittos and other mons for the next two months, so I went fuck it and inject the Dittos.
