I'm aware, probably should have used the word "bulk" or "survivability" rather than defenses, but either way it's just going to die if you try to use it as its concept and signature move seem to suggest. It has the stat spread of a sub-par attacker and one of the worst defensive typings. I don't know what they were thinking.
