Colours are shit. Purple and yellow go together, as do black and red. But purple, yellow, black and red do not. It clashes horribly.

Also it has a random stupid spike sticking out of its head. The little one on dragonair works well, but Ariados' just looks stupid.

If a 5 year old was tasked with designing a pokemon I'd imagine it looking like Ariados.
