It did lose to Seibold's Blastoise though. It took a Hydro Pump, a Power-Up Punch and 2 Mega Launcher Dragon Pulses.

255 HP explains everything it did. For example. With that HP, it can take all of the moves it did against Ash, it can take 1 hit from Primal Groudon's Precipice Blades, and it takes exactly two Mega Launcher Dragon Pulses to go down.
