They just seem way too enthusiastic. Like they're some kind of poster teens trying to enforce something. It almost seems like thst if you were to let them, they'd both grab you by the arms and forcibly baby walk you through the game while scolding g you for simple mistakes. Idk. I just feel so uneasy.

They are the true "alien" of this game. They and their "sidequest" are the leftover from XY game that was forced into Alola. In the close-bit community of Alola that everyone seem to knew each other (like how Mina is acquainted with Ilima, despite being on the opposite islands. Or how the Kahuna who gave you your first pokemon was also the ex-mentor of a local evil team's leader.) No NPC ever mentioned Dexio and Sina at all and Zygarde has no place in Tapu-UB-cosmog family lore. If you cut those two and their sidequest out from Alola there is no consequence at all, while if you cut off,said, Molynne, you cut off Sophocles's cousin and Kukui's old friend, who may had history with Hala and Guzma as well.
