scyther needs to hold a metal coat and then you use a trade stone on it i believe. you have to deliver an aggron to someone later in the game and has a metal coat as a held item so you can take it. as for trade stone, you need strength and its it the cave right before the 5th gym. you dont get strength until right before the 7th gym

Also, I found a level 19 Gible in that park game. Might be worth spending some time on if you want something better than Flygon.

Twitch found a very similar glitch on stream, what happens is the game tries to reload your stored party from when you last entered into on top of your existing party, which can result in hybrids and other nasty stuff. Dowing down to your teleporter only, catching 5 sacrifices then sending what you really what to catch to the box seems like the safest abuse of the glitch. The resulting hybrids can be disposed of in the orphanage.

There's also another glitch I encountered when you enter that forest with a full party then go to pikachu and select NO to fight him. When you beat him he brings up the PC menu so you're allowed to deposit and withdraw pokemon on the spot there. If you withdraw to fill your team inside the forest then leave your actual party outside the forest gets bugged pokemon. I didnt save and ended up resetting after that so not sure if it would self fix with deposit's back after that point or if I would lose pokemon. My guess is that battle was probably made so you were supposed to lose and it would bring that menu up for help/heals given the way he still talks smack after losing and speaking as if he won. Either way just something to know.

Why do people keep using Azumarill in their team? It's incredibly weak. Get Gardevoir if you want a decent fairy type or Ludicolo if you want a decent water type.

Any good strategies out there for getting Riolu from the orphanage? I think level ~12 mons get about 19-20 points each, so for 50-100 Pokeballs, it seems doable, but can anyone think of a better approach?

i wouldnt say so, sometimes the game feels like a drag and its unclear as what to even do sometimes. there are some neat things like the game plays well and the simple story is charming but honestly, this game suffers from having way too much cryptic stuff like having to buy brick in the second town in order to progress to the 6th gym or even all the eggs and especially all the undetectable gold tokens. the is also unfinished so thats a bummer. its not better than SM but its still a pretty fun little game to play
