Not enough respect for Ash. Can you blame him? Ash wasn't the best trainer you could find.

He does start loving Ash again, though. The development between Ash and him is one of my favorite things in the anime. It's sad their reunion was wasted in a shit season like BW.

I think he just got too strong too fast. I mean if he suddenly realized just how strong he was it would make sense that he'd start questioning why he should be taking orders from a trainer, especially after his history with his first trainer. He just got too full of himself and lost respect for Ash and possibly the idea of a relationship between trainer and pokemon as a whole.

Have they done anything like this in the newer seasons? It was actually pretty cool to take such a popular pokemon and make it such a huge asshole for a long period of time.
