Pulled a few reverse holos from packs I bought at a card shop I don't usually go to and realized the bottoms of the cards looked weird. As if they're cut off.
Anyone else run into this before or did I buy some fake shit?

I'll tak me your word for it, it's just some of these (and it's only the reverse holos that I pulled tonight) look like that. This is the worst offender.
Just never seen a border this close.

Ok, so I just ripped it in half and here's what it looks like. It was hard to rip too, not like tearing paper.

Those reverse holo foil patterns look legit. From what I saw online and videos most fake cards can't seem to nail the reverse halo pattern unless they went over the actual art of the pokemon too. And most fakes seem to add there own weird energy costs.

They're just miscuts, happens with every CCG every now and then.
Besides, there's no reason to package fakes when you can counterfeit rare and valuable cards and sell those.

Haha I didn't. It was a dupe Nidorino holo that I had.
My only guess is that they were from the same run that got miscut. Not sure exactly how these things are produced but I imagine all the reverse holos that have that weird border were from the same machine or run or whatever.

They're just miscuts. Usually, it makes them worth less than normal. Sometimes if they're ridiculously fucked up they're worth $$$.

Anyway, how's everyone liking Evolutions? Anybody just collect for fuck sake? I'm buying it up solely on the nostalgia factor. Still haven't pulled a Break yet though.

I don't know about pokemon cads, but MtG cards aren't typically worth less for being miscut by 2mm
