I want it to not exist. Remakes are cancerous and they should have just stopped doing them after HGSS.

By the logic of remakefags we should be getting Red/Green re-remakes because EVERY GAME MUST BE REMADE

I'm in this weird schism where I like Sinnoh and I like the region but I utterly detest most of the new Pokemon. Whenever I play through Platinum I always feel like I'm being given Double Team Pokemon in that they're absolutely horrendous to use but annoying to fight against.

Honestly I think it'll be like ORAS where it's the same game but in 3D and with some gimmick that goes away when the next generation pops up. But really, the simple speed up and transition to 3D would solve so many of DPPt's horrible issues.

I hope its a platinum remake, if Nintendo want exclusive legendaries so hard just make up some bullshit about your box legendary staying in game and the other one fucking off

I feel like the logic of those who want remakes is to bring compatibility to the most recent generation and to also revisit what once was. FRLG and HGSS were fine because Gen I and Gen II were not compatible with current games at that point. Gen III set the framework of the new IV and EV systems. But then you run into a different kind of compatibility issue: the phasing out of the Game Boy Advance and the Game Boy Advance slot on the DS.

However we run into a different kind of predicament. DS games and now 3DS games will not work on the Switch. Meaning by this sort of logic, when we get the next generation on the Switch, then Gen IV, V, VI, and VII will be incompatible.

Remakes also have the nostalgia factor flowing through them. They can market old Pokemon, bring some old Pokemon back to the limelight, even giving them much needed updates (like Mega Evolutions and Alola forms). Honestly I'm surprised they haven't bit the bullet and went with a Red/Green re-remake because they love sucking Kanto's dick so much. I feel like even they know that would be monumentally silly so that's why they just shoehorn as much Kanto as they can in Gen VI and Gen VII.

Nothing's stopping them from making Pokémon Bank compatible with the Switch.
They could also make the switch able to communicate with a 3DS.

A fair enough point. Storage and communication between generations have greatly advanced as the years went on.

The last thing I want to see is buffs or new forms for the legendaries. Creashit trio and Arceus fags are already obnoxious and deluded enough as it is.
