Don't believe his lies, Grimer was fucking awesome. It evolves a bit late, but at the end of the second island, when it's starting to get a bit less useful than the other teammates, you get fucking Eviolite. Grimer tanks shit for days until it can evolve, and then it can hit back just as hard.
