I would say her hands were designed after a fox's paw, but foxes have four digits on their paws, not four. It strikes me as very weird that they designed a character around holding a stick and twirling it around like a magic wand, but didn't give it a thumb.

Anyway, I also think it's weird that Braixen and Delphox have no thumbs. If I recall correctly, there was a bit of talk about this topic last phox phriday. Back then, I and a few other agreed amongst ourselves that Braixen and Delphox can manage to pick things up without much trouble by holding things like in pic related, curling their fingers around the object and pressing it against their palms to make up for the lack of a thumb. Still, a thumb would make it a lot easier, so I personally imagine one of their fingers is opposable and can act like a thumb, and the same goes for Pokemon like Lucario.
As for Primarina, does it actually have fingers? I thought those lines on its flippers were just markings, not the indications of fingers.

Depends on who is drawing Braixen/Delphox and the length they use for their fingers. The version shown in Pokken for example in >>31006871 has fingers that are much too short to actually curl around the stick, it looks like it's just clinging to her palm.

Blindness is a deal-breaker for a lot of things for me, because vision is the most important sense in my opinion, and the one I'd hate to lose the most. So the only way I'd say "yes" is if becoming a phox also gives me psychic-type magic that lets me see without the use of my actual eyes.
