Besides, you will have to have a locked moveset, so you are not allowed to change the order around for specific match-ups.

Imposter Ditto is fun, but overrated. Wasting your Choice Scarf on this thing is the biggest travesty, but how else can you justify using it?

Moody Smeargle is luck-based and only works on things slower than 70 speed or so. Pure support is hard to justify in 3vs3. Fun, but not likely to work once the surprise wears off.

Z-Conversion P-Z seems like it could be good, though how good it will be relies entirely on your opponent's type. P-Z makes a decent Scarf user, though.

If you're going to use the thing, you may as well. All the times I used P-Z in 3vs3, it never did much without the scarf. I guess Agility Life Orb has better potential, but at least with Scarf you're all but guaranteed to get one move off.

Personally, as a Normalfag, I never saw a reason to scarf anything but a bird. U-Turn, high power and speed, etc.

It's not worse, it's different. Much more speed and slightly less power. If a Z move fails for any reason, you're screwed.

It's been a long-ass time since I played Platinum brand new, but 3vs3 wasn't a thing on the DS. It didn't exist on wifi until 6th gen. Gen 4 wifi battles were 6vs6.
