The actual gameplay would probably be better in some other studio's hands but they design pokemon well at least

Can you imagine how fucking good Pokemon would be if they didn't drop excellent features every gen? There could be a game with move tutors, a battle frontier, pokestar studios, following pokemon, dexnav, super training, rematches, vs seeker, PSS, GTS custom descriptions, mega evolution, z stones, trainer customization, champion title defense, safari zone, friend safari, the fucking game corner, everything ever. Every fucking game has to drop excellent features and content just to look 'new' and pretend to be innovative when in reality all we want is CONTENT. Say what you will about the fifth gen, call be a unovabortion or what the fuck ever, but those games didn't really do anything innovative, they just had lots of content and felt complete. Gamefreak intentionally leaves their shit unfinished so they can sneak all the cut content into the second half of each gen and pretend they're being innovative. Fucking nip hacks

Kinda mixed on them. They do have great ideas from time to time which they tend to drop in the next game, and spend a lot of effort on the gimmicky stuff only a very few people care about. Also, they could work a bit on their optimization skills, the framerate issues in all the 3DS games can get really distracting. Hopefully Gamefreak is getting some help when making Switch games since a lot of other Japanese devs had trouble with the SD>HD switch as well, wouldn't want their Switch game to run like ass.

Anyway, it could always be worse.(imagine Niantic making a mainline Pokémon game)

I've wanted to see what this would be like for a long fucking time. From what we've seen from Colosseum/Gale of Darkness/Battle Revolution, they seem to understand the game and its mechanics way better than GameFreak.
