XY's soundtrack is more hit or miss, for example there's only two good battle themes Gym Leader and Kalos Legendary, which are really great, but everything else is pretty unremarkable

SM doesn't hit the same highs as the like five really great tracks in XY, but in general has a much stronger soundtrack

Bullshit. The only good town theme is Laverre, and sure, Snowbelle. Shalour is bland, but Geosenge and Lumiose are alright. Aquacorde, Vaniville, Ambrette, anf the town near the day care are all shite. The final two route themes are very good, but in total, about equal to SM (Vast Poni Canyon alone makes SM godtier in terms of route themes).

SM blows XY out of the water when it comes to towns and cities entirely. Paniola (night), Malie (day and night), Seafolk Village (day), and Po Town are all really solid tunes.
