And Frontier was enjoyable up to the point when they decided that 2/3 of the squad should be literally standing around doing nothing and every episode should be a carbon copy of the previous down to the same enemies. Repetitive bullshit.

Completely agree. Out of curiosity, what games do you think were on par with Pokemon games? I quite enjoyed Dawn/Dusk and Cyber Sleuth, haven't played many others though.

Dawn/Dusk had a nice story, but I didn't really like the fact that the gameplay was a pokemon ripoff.
Still, big plus for including Meggidramon.

Try Digimon World DS if you liked these, Dawn/Dusk are a direct sequel mechanic-wise. It's simpler and with less mons but playable.
