What should I look for magearna? With modest and her ability it seems like she's good for sweeping, but she's also tanky as fuck, both in defenses and typing. I'm confused on what should I aim for when getting her.

Oranguru seems like it'd be a phenomenal support in doubles, so if that's what you're going into then it should work out well.

Pelago's only really useful for hatching while not playing the game. I chuck my leftover eggs in there once I have a suitable baby for EV training.

I run a jolly Silvally with Swords Dance Multiattack(coverage moves)

I change the type depending on what I need. Fairy and Poison Silvally have been very useful. Ghost and Dark too. With the Dark one I run Parting shot and combine it with a bulky support Arcanine. Between those two the opponent finds his pokemon getting weaker and weaker while my Gyarados or Garchomp takes care of business.

I have to say I play doubles/VGC. So take that in account

If you beat the game then you can switch between day and night whenever you want. Just go to the Altar of the Moone with Lunala during the day for Moon, or Sunne with Solgaleo at night in Sun. Why is Flame Charge so underutilized? I get that it's got low power, but it also doubles as a speed boosting move. It can turn a bulky tank buster into a swift and deadly sweeper, without being blocked by taunt. I live it! Why doesn't anybody else?

Salamence/Hydreigon you can get super early on, but Shelgon is kinda eh and Zweilous is a monster physically, but having 80% accuracy maximum sucks. Salamence becomes a beast at lv50 (endgame) and Hydreigon's stupid/annoying to evolve. 50-55 is endgame, so 64 is too much unless you like grinding which in this game you shouldn't ever do because you level up so fast.

Magneton/Magnezone are both super strong.

the event Munchlax is pretty solid early on. Your starter is of course your starter. Crabrawler is surprisingly good for the first 2.5 islands. He may start being a bit weak when the rest of your team fully evolves.

you get Growlithe/Makuhita/Abra/Machop early enough to use them. They're all great.
