Guzma fucked me up when you fight him in aether paradise. Pic is my team ranging from 35-38, Guzma has a golisopod, Ariados, Masquerain, and Pinsir lvls 41-40.

Took me 5 tries and lots of rage.

My biggest problem was that his Pinsir could kill any one of my pokemon 1v1 in one or two hits with brick break and X-Scissor. I ended up sacrificing starmie to toxic the pinsir and abusing the AI by baiting him to use the wrong move by switching between Mimikyu and Sandslash till he died from poison.

I think my team comp is still all right for an in game playthrough though? Once Vibrava evolves he won't be as slow and not many bugs can survive a Flygon stone edge.

The Madame with the Comfey on the second Island. I didn't lose but it made me hate Comfey with a burning passion.

Early-game trainers with Magnemite are awful enough on a normal run. Paralysis, confusion, Sonicboom, the works. Now imagine you're doing a Farfetch'd solo run. In Gen III, it doesn't learn ANY moves that even hit Steel types neutrally. If we want to get technical, it does learn Mud-Slap via an Emerald move tutor, but that's so weak it doesn't really count. You just have to pray to the Stick that Slash will crit.

This is the only trainer to ever give me trouble. I hadn't been using the EXP share, so I was under leveled, and I couldn't reliably damage them twice because I was only using new Aslowla pokemon. Even Raichu wasn't pulling it off. I ended up having to teach Primarina Hail so I could Blizzard/Hail combo them down. Fighting them naturally just wasn't going to work.

This fight also convinced me to turn EXP share on.

IDK about you guys, but I found Sun and moon's e4 and champion to be extremely challenging. man, this girl was nasty. My team was all red after her.

Going straight from E4 to Cynthia in challenge mode BW2 can be a hassle due to the 20+ level jump. She just asks you straight out of the blue when you first enter, so you can get fucked over pretty easily if you're not careful. Your team is probaby in the 60s, hers are well in their 80s. That said, both times I've fought her right after the E4 I just ended up with setting up a double dance Haxorus and Outrage, hitting through Spiritomb's Double Team.
