Can third games still work?
>>30919063
No forever dead.
>>30919063
They can, but its something GF should have grown out of, and just give us new stories rather than just adding and altering old ones a few years later
Same for remakes. Sequels or nothing.
They're literally just an excuse to put out unpolished and unfinished games. It's like when devs release a game early and then patch things that should've been in it at launch in at a later date, except with Pokémon the "patch" is re-releasing the entire game at full price.
As >>30919079 said, sequels or nothing.
>>30919063
But only yellow could be considered a different game, right?
The others are literally the same, with a couple additions here and there?
>>30919063
Yes, but only because GF is too incompetent to just put more content in the first games.
>>30919063
Sequels would be better but I'll take anything that fixes all the SM annoyances
>>30919290
This, the first games used to feel like full games, but now it feels like games purposefully setting up later games, or missing in content. XY felt this way, and while SM is a lot better, it still feels that way.

Emerald is more different from RS than Yellow is from RGB.
Differences in Yellow:
>New sprites
>Different starter, but you can still get the old one
>Updated Gym Teams and a few sprites
>2 new characters
Differences in Emerald:
>Updated, animated sprites
>New Gym Leader
>Different Champion
>Updated Gym Teams
>New areas
>Frontier Brains and Scott/A lot of new characters.
Yellow is not the third version, Blue is.
>>30919063
Yeah, just wait for Stars :^)
>>30920350
Also the combined story and changing how the trainers are in the overworld entirely
>>30920252
Actually, that's the problem with there not being any 3rd games anymore.
The first games felt like full games? RB, GS, RS and DP feel just as incomplete as XY and SM. BW are the only that even if they didn't have sequels, they'd still be fine. It's stupid because XY was clearly setting up things and they just abandoned it all for a new gen.
>>30919063
yeah, but I'd much rather prefer sequels like what Gen 5 did
