Have you gotten to Tapus or trying to catch Ultra Beasts with regular/non-Beast Balls? Although I did capture Kartana with a Premier Ball + critical capture

To be fair I've only caught Tapu Koko since I'm currently doing a sweep of each island to fill out my dex. I just caught a full health gabite with a single ultra ball, and I was under the impression that they were hard to catch.

Kartana and Pheromosa have 255 catch rates. They're basically trash in the Ultra Dimension.

No, but weren't some ball modifiers increased? Like, I think Quick Balls have an even higher first-turn modifier now, and it was pretty high already.

You're just getting lucky. I've been having Pokemon bust my balls constantly.

Though it also makes a difference what you're using. I like the ball to match the Pokemon's color, so I use a lot that don't have modifiers. If you're just chucking around Ultra balls at everything you're bound to have better luck to some extent.

I was using Hold Back on everything so I didn't have much trouble, but Tapu Koko took 35 Ultra Balls to the face.
