Nothing is realistically capable of a OHKO through Shadow Shield except a faster Lunala. Doesn't matter if you hit for quad damage or not.

I played a physically defensive version with CMRoost for this to shrug off Crunches from what I anticipated would be a field loaded with Zygarde, but I ended up using that defense to fuck over way more Garchomps and Golisopods instead.

On Battle Spot singles I tend to see the same tactic on Garchomp with Breloom: Focus Sash + Rock Tomb. Breloom being frail is one thing, but Garchomp is so commonly used people always pack some sort of Ice move to OHKO it. If it's something faster then Rock Tomb lowers the HP and speed enough for Garchomp to finish it off the next turn, and a lot of Pokemon that try to OHKO Garchomp this way are also frail speedsters like M-Aerodactyl and M-Manectric. It's grown kind of annoying that it's always a relief when the Garchomp does get OHKO'ed.

I love Garchomp but I fucking gave up on searching for Rough Skin Gabites in Haina Desert for FIVE (5) hours and managing to find two fucking Shiny Sandiles instead. I actually did find one but it proceeded to kill itself with Take Down (why in the fuck does Gamefreak do this stupid shit) after I love tapped it with False Swipe and proc'd its ability
