What are the chances of finding a specific pokemon in one random scan?

The hundreds of MB updates made it so that I can't update the game, and it's been like that for at least around a month, at least since SuMo came out. And when playing last I'd just hit level 20; it would take days and days before I even was good enough to be viable for any gyms.

Be honest--have I actually fucking missed anything? Do gyms even change hands that much anymore? As it is this game is just dead weight on my phone--and it will stay that way until I either delete it or delete some other thing (and most of everything is either something I'd like to have or something I can't get rid of).

But it is 100% safe to say that that Niantic is an embarrassingly incompetent game developer. Even after you excuse the company of not being prepared for the initial popularity, they're still to blame for shit like

Treeman have lots of counters but they are mostly frail. Arcanine is the best one. Good if you put only one gyarados, one Dragonite and one high lvl Treeman in a gym as the attacker have to put specialized pokemons that are not that good against the others.
