The Switch is still miles ahead of the 3DS in power when undocked. It's disappointing that it doesn't perform as well as XB1 or PS4 when docked, but it's still better than the Wii U. Plus the first party games will likely be good with Pokemon and Zelda at least.

Honestly, I don't know why OP opened with that. Everyone knew it'd be performing worse in portable mode.

The real news is that even while docked it's not going to be all that much better than the WiiU. Better, but not really in the realm of the Xbone and certainly nowhere near the PS4.

When undocked its only at 720p, compared to docked being 1080p. 720p is a bit less than half of the pixels of 1080p. Running at lower power undocked is fine and helps with battery life.

The only reason I have a 3DS is to play Pokemon. I wish I can just hook it up to my TV and play it from my couch
