Why is this piece of poop so hard to catch?

It was a unobtainable in the wild gift pokemon in gen 3,and Gamefreak didn't bother updating its catch rate since then.

There's a reason there's not only a whole channel about just fucking with SM64, but a whole audience for it. People are going to be on the Switch like WikiLeaks on Hilary Clinton's emails as soon as it comes out. It might take a bit like it did for the 3DS, but they're going to find a way eventually, and faster than any other system.

I thought the same thing about Beast Ball Beldum, but then I managed to catch one from the GTS for just a Turtonator. You can either try your luck there and go hunting through the trade threads or reddit to see if anyone's trading them or giving them out. It's liable to be as annoying as just trying to catch it on your own, of course.

Turtonator is apparently a really good pokemon, I suggest that if you have a ditto with destiny knot and an extra to breed those fuckers to complete your dex
