Because Nature Power and Camouflage which nobody fucking uses. I'd use the early route BGs if I could. The digital arena thing we currently have feels really oppressive and tense.

Personally I dig the holo stadium they use for online battles though. But I wouldn't mind having stuff like the Battle Tree too.

Pokken's local netplay is limited to one stage and one stage only for some reason.

I doubt it. The game doesn't need to constantly be sending bg data over wifi. It doesn't even need to sync camera angles. At best what you get is the move handshake and timer data.

Thought I was the only one who cared about this. Yeah OP... I'm fucking mad as hell too. Which is why I don't support Gamefreak/Masuda's laziness and buy all my Pokemon games used.
