Depending on your gender, you pick up the opposite gender's X-tranciever(?) in Nimbasa city. You basically get a dating sim side quests where they call you multiple times throughout your travels in Univa in certain spots.
Once they've called you several times, you will finally get to meet them and basically go on dates with them at the Ferris Wheel. They will then trade you a Pokémon each time
