Man... Crabrawler is probably the mon that disappointed me the most this generation. Loved the base form and was interested in what it evolved into. Then it turns out it doesn't evolve till around endgame and what it evolves into isn't nearly as cool as the previous stage. But said stage can't really stand on its own. Ugh.

I honestly don't mind location based evolutions but making them available earlier than near the end of the game is important.

The real problem is much like what happened with Rufflet and Vullaby. If Grubbin and Crabrawler were available later, it wouldn't really matter. Magnemite has Magneton to hold it over until then and Nosepass doesn't show up until later.

But as it is Grubbin is the Route 1 Bug and Crabrawler comes in not long after. Charjabug is somewhat decent, but it's attack stat is completely at odds with its Special focused evolution. It's all a real clusterfuck of poorly reviewed design decisions.

Honestly, all Gen V evolution levels and learn levels are ridiculous thansk to it's Experience System. Because of it, you could level up low leveled Pokemon really fast and in the end it wasn't TOO much trouble.
