They didn't convince GameFreak to make Shadow Lugia canon.

good:
-the games were actually challenging
-double battles by default made for interesting games.

colosseum sucked because:
-couldn't save except at a pc
-shadow pokemon only know shadow rush, and often killed themselves with recoil
-purifying shit took forever
-started you off in the mid 20's

xd was actually pretty decent.
-can save anywhere
-there's actually a diverse set of shadow moves
-purify machine is a godsend

bad:
-the 3d models are pretty hideous, especially the ones that they just inherited from pokemon stadium
-getting money is a pain in the ass

Colosseum was too short of a game. It felt like I could beat it in less time than it took to beat the mainline games.

>Knew how to craft difficulty without being overtly cheap about it unlike the Battle Facilities
>Knew how to tell a better story than even BW. Heck, it even handled mature themes better than BW.
>Limited selection of Pokemon in Colosseum makes it easy to Karenfag

The catching animation (not snagging) in GoD was perfection. Too bad you almost never got to see it.
