They didn't convince GameFreak to make Shadow Lugia canon.
good:
-the games were actually challenging
-double battles by default made for interesting games.
colosseum sucked because:
-couldn't save except at a pc
-shadow pokemon only know shadow rush, and often killed themselves with recoil
-purifying shit took forever
-started you off in the mid 20's
xd was actually pretty decent.
-can save anywhere
-there's actually a diverse set of shadow moves
-purify machine is a godsend
bad:
-the 3d models are pretty hideous, especially the ones that they just inherited from pokemon stadium
-getting money is a pain in the ass

Colosseum was too short of a game. It felt like I could beat it in less time than it took to beat the mainline games.

The catching animation (not snagging) in GoD was perfection. Too bad you almost never got to see it.
