I had a proto full team by Diglett's Tunnel of Dartrix, Salandit, Wishiwashi, Lycanoroc-D, Ribombee and Passimian. Luckily I decided I wanted to use Turtonator instead of Salandit and I had to go back and replace Wishiwashi with Mareanie because it was jobbing way too much so I had a couple of pokemon caught post-midgame to have on my team. I like filling up my team at a consistent pace over the course of the game and am happy getting my 6th up to as late as around the 8th gym or the pre-league routes if need be. Stacking it so early is boring.
