I hate it when a pokemon does an animation for a move that benefits their most prominent attack stat but use the special attack/status buff animation. For example, two of Chesnaught's best moves that benefited his physical attack was seed bomb and stone edge. However, when using them he'd take his wide legged stance as if he were using giga drain or something.

Similar thing applied to Garchomp in gen 6 where whenever he used earthquake or rock slide, he'd do that "roaring" animation. Thankfully they fixed that in gen 7.

(same anon here) in other words: Blastoise not using his cannons when using hydro pump or scald in either his standard OR mega form. Hell, the main reason I even put water pulse on him in the first place was because he actually used his cannons when firing.

And then gen 7 had to fuck that up too because he uses water pulse with his mouth now too.
