Bug Buzz
Zap Cannon
Volt Switch
Roost
> Zoom Lens - If the holder moves last, its accuracy is increased by 20%.
I've never seen Zap Cannon been used outside of Lock-On users. It has the same accuracy as Thunder with +10BP and 100% Paralysis.
I once landed Zap Cannon on an average of 5 times in a row throughout multiple matches
Am I using Vikavolt wrong /vp/?
>>30841639
Kinda.
You shouldn't rely on an attack with such an error margin even with 20%+ accuracy.
>>30841804
I know I'm risking a lot. Kinda like running Focus Blast. What do you suggest, Anon?
>>30841639
>It has the same accuracy as Thunder with Zoom Lens
oh honey
>>30841951
Personally I'm running:
Vikavolt with Choice Specs
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
Thunderbolt
Bug Buzz
Hidden Power [Ice]
Volt Switch
Considering how hard is to get an specific HP you might as well use Roost in its place or another coverage move.

???
>>30841639
It just need Compound Eyes and he's ready to go.
>>30842253
Its 0.5*1.2 not 0.5+0.2 you stupid idiot
>>30842437
>If the holder moves last, its accuracy is increased by 20%
>Zap Cannon Accuracy is 50%
Do your math again before you call someone a stupid idiot.
>>30842536
20% of 50% is just 10%, so it ends up being 60% accurate, not 70%
>>30842589
Understandable. Thank you for having a respectable response and answer, Anon.
>>30842536
Zoom lens is multiplicative, not additive.
Zap Cannon is 50 accuracy.
So you take 20% of 50 which is: 10%
Then you add 10% + 50 = 60% accuracy for Zap Cannon.
You don't add 20% and 50% together.
That's like a 15% tip for a $50 dollar meal. You don't pay $65.
>>30842053
Flash Cannon is nice on it, I've been shutting down Rock types in the battle tree with it
>>30842712
And how well does it survive?
>>30842053
Timid on a mon this slow? please explain. I'm genuinely curious
>>30842742
Decently, but mine has 31 IVs in everything, not sure how much of a difference that makes
>>30842784
>Timid
It's better to outspeed whatever you can than outspeed nothing.
>>30842855
Vikavolt user here.
Bold Nature
252 HP
252 Defense
4 Sp Attack
Some times bulk is better than speed.
>>30844515
How well does your Vikavolt do? I like bulky builds on Pokemon, and I was really excited when I saw Vikavolt's design. Due to the stupidity of the evolution condition, I hadn't gone for one in the main game, and I haven't experimented with it yet.
>>30845210
Vikavolt already hits hard with a base special attack of 145. With all of my investments in HP and +Defense, Vikavolt is surprisingly bulk as hell for me.
> It has taken multiple non STAB Stone Edges/Rock Slides without fainting.
>Bug Buzz hits non type resistant opponents hard. 2HKO'd Garchomp once.
>Flash Cannon completely destroys Rock types.
The only thing that stops Vikavolt are
> Rock Types with a Base Stat of 130 with Stone Edge
> Rock Wrecker, Head Smash, and Stealth Rock
> Fire Types with high Sp. Attack
> Any Fire Moves with a Base Power of +120
>>30845419
What item do you use? Assault Vest?
>>30845210
Eviolite charjabug is a beast.
>>30845431
For a while I was using a Zoom Lens for Zap Cannon like >>30841639
Life Orb or Leftovers if I'm running Roost.
Assault Vest if I don't have Roost.
I like the agility set, because it lets me outrun base 130s with a timid nature.
>>30845419
Why use Flash Cannon over Energy Ball for rock types? It also lets you hit ground for SE, lets you murder water/ground types and the only thing you lose out on hitting are pure fairy types.
>>30845575
I completely forgot about Energy Ball. Thanks, Anon!
