Alright, now the ending of this makes a little more sense. Shohei initially takes the role of the <player> in Sun and Moon because he comes from Kanto to Alola, but in the end when he goes back to Kanto hetakes the role of Lillie.
Also, although this could be noticed earlier, Hoku is obviously Hau due to choosing the starter weak to the player and using a Raichu, and the blonde "bad" kid, who uses Silvally, is Gladion.
