Honestly Battle Frontier wasn't fun at all and I find it hilarious GameFreak rused Hoennbabies with the "Coming soon: Battle Tower!!!" at the Battle Resort.

For that matter all those pseudo competitive scenes the games have had since Gen III aren't all that fun. They won't properly replicate what it feels to battle against an actual person and most of the time they have bullshit mechanics or RNG made to make you lose (ie. that Walrein from Battle Maison).

I think its fun to hack a pokemon via powersaves to have 252 in every stat and then use PKhex to give it 3 OHKO moves, no guard, and recover

I actually like it when rivals are friendly, even if they aren't competent. Not because I want to feel praised by them, but because I think it's more comfy to have a friend to meet up during your journey instead of some random prick that will try to antagonize you. Hau was pretty good.
