People tend to hate them, but I actually really like the genies. All their forms are cool, and their lore and dynamic are interesting.

Volcarona-Bug/Fire moth, but unlike other moth-mons, it's actually good
Haxorus-Mono Dragon dinosaur thing with tusks in the shape of axe blades
Golurk-Ghost/Ground golem that was able to learn Fly(because of the mechanics inspiration)
Krookodile-Dark/Ground bipedal desert crocodile with a masked thief motif.

More competitively viable Pokemon is always a plus. Without the genies a lot of other stuff might have an easier time running wild with less things to keep them in check and having more options to build a team around or with is nice as well.
