Hidden ability is much better, but you've got some great breeding fodder in the best egg group in the game.

What sex is your vulpix? It'll be easier to breed the hidden ability in if yours is male.
If you want, I have extra female HA breedjects.

Not really. Not in the battle tree anyways. No point in running Aurora veil or wasting a slot on hail, so the ability is pretty much null. I don't have any idea what you would use a snow cloak ninetales for without going way out of your way to support it. Just use it as a breeding partner for a snow warning vulpix/ninetales

She's female :( . I lucked out and got a male with snow warning in WT though. I wonder if he'll pass the HA if I breed him with my perfect female Vulpix. His IVs are crappy though.

Can someone explain to me why snow warning is so much better than cloak? I mean obviously cloak does nothing if there isn't hail already going, but unless you build your team full of ice types isn't having hail pop out going to hinder you more than help? It's not like it does enough damage to the enemy team to be noticeable.

100% accurate blizzards and Aurora Veil combined with chip damage are much better than a blank ability spot. The chip damage breaks enemy sashes and other full HP stuff, while you can keep it from fucking you over because you both know exactly when it's coming and built your team with it in mind.
Meanwhile, using the move Hail tends to just be a wasted turn, since you're not actually DOING anything else that turn, so a fox with Snow Cloak might as well not have an ability...or is on a hail team, and if it's on a hail team you might as well give it Snow Warning to keep the hail going.
