But yes OP, everything about digimon was better.
The games too, the digimon world's on PS1 were the best thing ever.
But somehow the cartoon didn't do as well as pokemon, which is why it died? (Cartoon that WAS better also, but that's not really hard, spongebob is objectively better than pokemon anyway.)
Digimon was much more mature in its lore and less 'basic' in its background.
Pokemon world makes absolutely no sense, digimon world tho, since it's digital, thus 'not real' is totally plausible.
Why can't pokemon speak english?
Meowth learnt it, so it's possible, but somehow they can't say anything else than their fucking names (which was cute, at first, now it's getting retarded) and STILL somehow appear totally sentient.
They understand humans and can obey their commands, to the letter, as if they were robots.
Kind of silly.

I blame Nintendo and the fact it had so much more power and leverage than Bandai.
