The entire gen was a rehash of gen 1. Machop evo line was just rehash of timburr. You even evolve it the same way. Then theres poliwag and tympole. Hitmonlee/hitmonchan and Sawk and trow or whatever its called.

Gen 5 was a mistake.

Remember that Gen 1 has Magneton, Dugtrio, and Electrode - not necessarily bad design, but definitely lazy designs (it's just 3 of them/it's jsut flipped over, respectively).

Also I have a soft spot for Trubbish since it's really just Unovan Grimer, a literal pile of shit.

I really can't see it. They seem more like Tribes people than aliens if anything. Especially Bulu and Koko.

Not only did you phrase it wrong, it also isn't a mere copy paste like other concepts. Was Machamp mainly a construction worker? Did Machamp employ weapons? Did Conkeldurr have four arms? Did Conkeldurr have No Guard?

Conkeldurr references the Machamp line but does not copy everything concept and gameplay wise
