Are you serious? It gets an offensive buff, and an ability that basically gives it a free Choice Band/specs without locking it into a move or wasting HP.

Many megas have to choose between giving up their item and the mega stone, but Lucario is not one of them, because the mega is literally better in every regard even with the item.

Adaptability does of course only apply to STAB moves, but Lucario has great STABs anyways. Fighting is amazing offensively, and with the Tapus around Steel is pretty good as well. You just have to switch Extremespeed with Bullet Punch (the damage output is very similar with Adaptability, and you can hit ghosts).

Everything banned to Uber in Smogon is justified. Prove me wrong.

Both of those sets were individually really hard to counter, and both of them had fairly different counters on top of that. Smogon isn't a huge fan of 50/50 shots to literally just win or lose an entire game in a single turn, especially if they can happen as early as T1. Mawile has abusable flaws, to the extent that it might dodge a ban whenever GF gets around to reintroducing this Gen, but the fact that you could pretty much lose 2 Pokemon to Mawile automatically on a 50/50 gamble really pushed it into Ubers.

Lucario was banned not for its "strenght" per se, but for its versatility. You couldn't really tell if it was special or physical until its too late.

I actually found mega mawile much worse to deal with than mega lucario. an extra 50% damage is really the same, if not less broken that starting off with double atk from huge power which was fucking 678. That's 42 less than the base stat of Arceus in ONE single stat. I have no fucking clue how people couldn't see how ridiculous Mega Mawile was, and even worse are the people who still deny how retarded it is.

Lucario had to at least have STAB for its shit to work.
