Pikachu completely outshined greninja in the Alain and Sawyer battles. And sceptile and infernape are still his coolest regional staters.

Quick Attack isn't bad at all in the anime though. And Ash's Pikachu's damage output seems to be fairly high to make up for it's poor defenses.
