In 2006 I played Emerald on an emulator and caught a shiny Golbat.
It was the first, last, and only time I ever captured a shiny.

The second and last shiny I ever saw was a Skarmory in OR. It killed itself before I could capture it.

So, hunt is going great I guess.

Hatched a Shiny Gible yesterday with Jolly and Max IVs in everything but Special Attack

I was breeding a Gible for my friend because he wanted one, so I ended up giving him the 6 IV I already had.

Why?

I specifically want to fuck with people by putting a choice scarf on a rampardos with max attack, max speed, and headsmash.

I've been playing Pokemon X since I don't have Sun/Moon yet, but I've been trying to get a team of my favorite Pokemon as shinies through the Masuda method. I have Gengar, Umbreon, Politoed, and Togekiss, and I only need Scyther and Cyndaquil. Scyther is being a little bitch to get right now though, which is upsetting since I got togepi in fucking 6 eggs. I was gonna do Metagross but they did a shiny giveaway of him so I didn't. After I worked for my genera they gave one of him away too. At least the OT reads as me in the summary, I guess...

I probably hatched around 800 minior a few days ago so I decided to switch things up a bit and go for turtonator. Now I'm about 200 eggs in, but no shiny yet. I guess I got too lucky with my pentaperfect, shield dust, shiny cutiefly last week.

Got this a while ago, glad I managed to hit the the female and HA on the first one. Lost track of how many eggs I went through and it doesn't seem to come out during a battle.

I've used MM twice and I got a rowlett from 10 eggs, and 2 shiny wimpods from 120 and 66 eggs each.
Super lucky.

Currently hunting shiny exeggcute, fucked up a 130 chain by killing one on accident. good thing they have a super high call-rate.

Posting this here because it might be helpful for you breeding your shines. A lot faster because you use Magikarp. I tried it and it works. Reset the game a total of 4 times and got the shiny every time.

I wouldn't even know shinies were a thing if it wasn't for crystal's battle tower and the internet.
I've run some numbers, and if statistics worked on a chained basis, I'd have a 99.999(...)9998% chance of every consequent pokemon I see being a shiny.

I just can't explain it.

Don't give up. My first three shinies (Mimikyu, Sandygast, and Mareanie) all took from 800-1500 eggs with charm and MM. OP pic was my fastest shiny.

I've been hunting for a shiny, ANY shiny, for what must now be thousands of eggs.
