So, a friend of mine just traded me some Pokemon which can't be obtained in Sun/Moon right now - some bred in Gen 7, some with a pentagon mark - and they all meet the criteria for being "legit". My question now is, will I be banned now if I go online, even without intending to ever use those mons before the official release of Gen 7 Pokemon Bank?

well im not sure about banning, but with my experience with hacking, theres no problem if you dont take it outside of people who agree its okay. so just dont offer them on gts, or use them in random battles or official tournaments and youll be good.

They don't ban you, just prevent you from doing online functions with them in the first place.

Yeah, that's what I hope for... Still; Nintendo knows my real name, and every time I have to do a Game Sync or do some Rating Battles, they access (all?) of my game's data...
