It's bad. I'm still trying to come up with a way to use it efficiently. Best I got is screen setting with U-Turn and Explosion.

And then it shit the bed on super singles, those fuckers cheat, I tell you

Some people will say it's good and others say it's bad, but from my experience using one, I've learned one thing.
If it can survive long enough to get the she'll smash off then it will hit pretty hard, especially if shields down activates. If it can't get the move off, then it's just okay as well as it being a free switch into a status when still in its shell.

I just use it as my suicide lead.
Stealth Rock in, and then it'll either get left at 1 HP with Focus Sash, or survive the hit and be under 50% HP. I just let it use Explosion the next turn afterwards.
If it still takes a hit and is above 50% HP, I just let it use Stone Edge or U-Turn.

How the fuck are you supposed to reliably get to 50% without Sub or Focus Sash? Shield Form's bulk is not exactly amazing.
