Admittedly, it is Gen I pandering, but completely justified. For one, it's Gen I's 20th anniversary. It deserves some of it. Then there's the fact that Kanto Pokemon has been around for the longest. We've seen and used the same Ninetails for the last 20 years. It needed a rehash more than a Gen III or IV Pokemon.
