There are two battle modes, Switch and Set.

In Switch, when you knock out an AI trainer's Pokemon, you're told what their next Pokemon is and given the option to switch out into a counter for free.
In Set, you are not given that option. If you want to switch out you must spend a turn doing so.

Switch is the default, but Set is what's used for endgame PvE as well as for all PvP. Once you play with Set in the main game you realize just how broken Switch is. It feels like cheating.

Why does Synchronize not work on legendaries anymore this gen. I Soft resetting for Adamant Solgaleo over 40 times, and only got adamant once, but with awful IVs.

So I'm playing Sun, when you receive the cosmog that you get to evolve to have a second of your box legendary, so Solgaleo for me, do I have to evolve that Cosmog in Sun to make it Solgaleo? If I trade my Cosmog with a Cosmog a player got in Moon, will that in-Moon caught Cosmog still evole into Lunala if I evole it in my Sun game and vice-versa for them in Moon?
