It was a pretty well-balanced and fun team. I did have to get a Shellos egg in Akala though, because I wanted to raise a Shellos and not just catch a Gastrodon

If you're fine with using old mons, Vanilluxe is pretty fun. It's faster than most Alola Pokemon, and with Snow warning it can fire off 100% Accurate Blizzards. Mirror Coat can be pretty useful too.
The only problem is catching a Vanillite and actually evolving it

In surprised how many crabs I'm seeing, I thought most hated the crab because he essentially loses the boxer theme on evolving. He's really grown on me though. I just wish he got fur coat

Just finished the Ghost trial. So far everyone's been pulling their weight but Minior lags behind sometimes. The AI is really fucking bad with Shields Down though, it will repeatedly try to status a Minior with its shell up.

Yeah, rock types were my only real problem but Gastrodon dealt with them really easily. Even -10 levels below Olivia, it still managed to wreck her completely.
Slap that berry that weakens grass type moves (which I can grow an infinite amount of thanks to pelago) and it survives most surprise grass type attacks and KOs them in turn. Gastrodon is a beast in-game.

Get a ghost or fairy type because as good as Metagross is Vs fighting, being neutral to it when most of your team is weak to it can really hurt.

I need a team for the Battle of Slowla competition, I'm not really that interested on competitive battles, but the Battle Tree is fun and breeding/training this gen is really fast

I picked it because I think it's cute and it's never been early enough in a game to consider using it even though I like it.
It actually wasn't completely useless. It definitely lagged towards the end of the game but it being the only one on the team who could learn Trick Room helped them all out. I also slapped Psychic on it for extra coverage since no-one else on the team could learn it.

Go to the Steelix boat at Seafolk. Go out the 2nd door to the fishing spot. Keep going in and out for bubbling spots, where Dhelmise is found at 10% chance as opposed to 1%

With the exception of Minior and Decidueye, every member of this team spent a decent chunk of time being a frail peice of shit that kept dying and really wanted the EXP share on.
However, never all at the same time, thankfully.
(Seriously, Pichu's useability curve is "great-shit-evolve-great-shit-evolve-wait until Tbolt-good)

They were also my peices of shit that made this game one of the most enjoyable in ages, in spite of, if not beause, they couldn't tank shit half the time and kept getting KO'd.

I think they'll be up there with my favourite in game teams for a while.

(I also carried Pyukumukyu with me until I got Minior. Hilariously cheesed Lurantis for me)

The Crab is fine if you can accept he's going to have a couple of points in the game where it's less usable, because it won't be able to switch in on anything.
But it's a beast early game. And a beast for a good while after it gets eviolite.
A rollercoaster of emotions and usability.
