Golisopod and Turt were in game bros, I was so happy they did as well as they did. Golispod and Nihilego did almost all the work. First Impression/Emergency Exit ended up working in my favor half the time, despite paralysis. Could First Impression turn one, then Liquidate all assets/leech life if I thought they were bulky and would attempt parahax or something, or sucker punch anything else, and if I was forced out I could just repeat that combo of moves again.

Nihilego could sweep once she took out a weakened foe.

Jeb was a physical sponge and could dish out some good damage with dual stab.

The game loved throwing bulky ground/rock/steel types at me in an effort to counter everything, neglecting that those Pokemon take shittons of grass knot damage and couldn't normally outspeed a fucking thing. Good times.

Will probably have to change shit up for super singles. I'm expecting more Sandstorm teams if I don't change comp.

Foul play is a must, it can actually kill some targets.
Taunt or snarl is up your preference, I choose snarl because there is no dedicated special tank in my team and I didn't fear status or set up that much.
Snarl can also 2HKO delphox, if that helps.

Turns out I'm a retard and forgot to give Greninja any EVs in pkhex. Max speed Pyroar outspeeds Greninja with 0 EVs and Jolteon easily outspeeds Ash-Greninja with 0 EVs. Only the Aerodactyl was scarfed.

You want to do bulky SD Roost to tank and try to sweep at the same time.

I gave mine a custom EV spread that's inefficient in some regards but that I felt was good enough for what I wanted to account for. It's Impish with 252 HP 108 Def 148 SpDef which can take Return from Mega Pinsir and Focus Blast from Mega Alakazam at the same time and heal off, since I delegated Mega Scizor to be my long-term Psychic and Flying answer.

Hmm, Outrage could replace Dragon Claw, but fairies (especially Mawile) are super common. Poison Jab and Iron Head seem like solid choices to deal with fairies if EQ didn't basically OHKO the great majority of them.

I've been using a team of salazzle, m-metagross and a-marowak (m-meta and a-maro are two shinies I chained for and like and slazzle was from my story run through) which as you can probably see from a mile away has a giant ground weakness and a moderate dark weakness.

What is a pokemon that can replace salazzle that ticks all or most of these boxes; immune to ground, fast, a special attacker and it'd be nice if it resisted dark and covered some key types in it's coverage.

Using a sashed a-exeggutor with trick room, a-marowak, and LO Golisopod I just beat singles challenge on my first try. Do I tweak it for super singles? I'd like to get a good special attacker but I'm pretty well balanced right now

Havent played since Red. My party is generally all around lvl 50+ now and i was looking into joining in the online competition in a few days. The game says to set up a battle team, but i cant put my party pokemon in the team. Is that correct? they must be in a box? Im still playing the story just got to Poni so dont want to put my good Pokemon away while this competition is going on as i cant do the story that way.

Mimikyu is great for Battle Royal. Set up Swords Dance and then Shadow Sneak to finish off others.
If you want BP, Battle Tree is a lot quicker and easier than Battle Royal.

I use Celesteela as a general bulky wall + a way to take out things like Avalugg or other really high defense but low Special defense mons

My usual go to is Lead with Mimikyu, and do my best to keep Disguise up. If I am doubtful with taking out a pokemon with only 1 Swords Dance, and going for another will get my disguise broken, I go with Twinkle Tackle to punch through, and go to the second pokemon with my disguise intact, so I can choose to either set up again or otherwise. It got me far, until I dun goofed and misclicked something like Leech Life, got to 40 wins

Should I swap Celesteela to Toxapex when I can breed one? Or am I good?

You will want good IV's, but until you can do so, grab a Mimikyu and any good mons you might have, EV train them, and give it a go to build your way up to being ablew to breed pokes

Breeding is easy now, and you can use bottle caps to fill in any missing stats.
For singles, pick three that can cover each other's weaknesses. Some easy setups are fire/water/grass or steel/fairy/dragon.

Bulu just basically spams wood hammer 90% of the time, and grassy terrain helps metagross against EQ, and Metagross also covers bulus massive poison weakness. ash grenigger is just something i threw on to fuck annoying fire mons like salazzle, but he works out pretty good. the biggest problem with this team is no fire moves, and since i run into colress like 3 times every climb for some dumb fucking reason, he can be really obnoxious. any tips? should i swap out ash greninja? Maybe is should swap out metagross for mega salamance and stick fire blast on him or something

Taking the advice from an anon on here, I went with a Mega-Lucario and Specs Tapu Lele lead. I had a Mimikyu in the back along with a Max HP/SpA Muddy Water Wishiwashi. I got to 50 battles no problem and am now taking it slow marching forward into the lat 50's.

Ironically, that team worked quite well. Just throw a steel/fighting/fire move on your dragons and you should be good to smash through the countless ice mons.

I'm on battle 103 or so.
Using:

Lead*
MegaMence (Bulky DD with EQ/DE/DD/Roost)
Aegislash (Weakness Policy Special Attacker)

Mence and Aegi cover each other really well, but it gets even better with a Dark type.

For that, I usually choose Pangoro or Absol to lure out Fairyshit or mons who use Dazzling Gleam before countering with Aegi and bringing them back to clean up or let Salamence set up afterwards.. Knock Off against Pinch Berries and the occasional Taunt also gets you crazy mileage here.

*Both Absol and Pangoro's Hex'd for X/Y Egg/Tutor moves because fuck this facility for using unreleased shit

I got to 50 in Super Doubles using Dhelmise/Mimikyu, Tapu Lele, Porygon2 and Salazze/Minior.

Minior/Dhelmise and Tapu Lele to lead, switch to Porygon2 if opponent is going to use Shadow Ball, and likewise switch to Dhelmise if they try and use Tri Attack or any other Normal type moves. Switching up team members helped me deal with their bullshit hax, surprisingly. I also got sick of Salazze insta dying.

Pretty sure the Battle Tree never promised random teams. The Battle Tree actively throws teams at you that exploit weaknesses but after 70 wins I can say that the RNG is equal. I've had my share of RNG luck and so does the Cpu.
